Devices for Network Connections

3G/4G:3G is short for third generation of the mobile technology. 3G is mainly found on smart phones, laptops and mobile modems. It is mainly used for accessing the internet as it is a built in wifi.
4G is short for forth generation of the mobile technology. 4G is found on mobile devices such as smart phones it has built in wifi the same as 3G but is up to 10 times faster than 3G.



 










Wireless: Wireless networking which is often knowing as wifi is away of getting broadband internet without wires. Wifi allows you to connect to several computers at once, anywhere in the house or if you have a laptop in the house you can also use it outside in the garden. You do not need to install extra phone lines or cables.  












Bluetooth: Bluetooth is a way of exchanging data wirelessly over short distances, and is an attempt to do away with all the wiring you would need to connect up your phone to your computer.









Network Interface Card (NIC): A network interface card is a device that allows computers to be joined together in a network, normally a local area network (LAN). Some network interface cards works with wired connections were some also work wireless.
